TalkTalk news

TalkTalk is aiming to boost the viewing experience of its TV customers with a software update for YouView.

The free update (70.30.09) will be made available for TalkTalk TV users with a Huawei YouView box between November 20th and December 5th 2013.

Users will receive the update automatically during this two-week period.

On its Twitter account, TalkTalk confirmed that YouView users would see "no major changes" to their TV service as a result of the update.

It is designed to provide "performance improvements", including optimisation of the hard disk, the service provider stated.

TalkTalk TV viewers last received an update (70.30.07) for their YouView set-top box on October 28th.

This was designed to iron out a number of minor issues with the service, such as customers being asked to repeatedly enter their PIN.

The update also ensured the IPC-6024 error message was no longer incorrectly displayed on live digital TV broadcasts.
