Virgin Media customers will get to enjoy twice as much on-demand programming from UKTV following a landmark deal.
The agreement between the two means 10,000 hours of shows from channels including UKTV Play, Dave, Gold, Alibi and Yesterday, will be available via catch-up and box set services.
Hit shows on these channels include the likes of Sherlock, Only Fools & Horses, Doctor Who and Taskmaster.
As part of the deal, an updated UKTV Play app will launch on Virgin Media's TiVo platform.
David Bouchier, Chief Digital Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, commented: "Throughout this year, we've been expanding the fantastic range of on-demand programming. which lets our customers watch what they want, when they want."
He said the company is delighted to be giving its customers more UKTV shows than are available on any other platform.
Mr Bouchier added that the doubling of UKTV catch-up content and the arrival of the Play app mean Virgin Media customers can access "more of the entertainment they love in the way they want".
UKTV has also hailed the deal, describing Virgin Media as one of its most valued customers.
Simon Michaelides, Chief Commercial Officer at the firm, said: "We're delighted to have partnered with them to expand and enhance our pay TV offer in this way."
He stated that Virgin Media subscribers now have unique access to UKTV's most comprehensive on-demand offering anywhere in the market.
Mr Michaelides described this as a step-change in the volume of on-demand content, adding it is part of its long-term commitment to growth in pay TV.
