Virgin Media is rolling out updates to its TiVo boxes over the coming weeks.
New features will be automatically added to the devices to make it easier for users to search, find and save programmes on the service.
One significant update - called Series Link+ - will enable customers to record an entire series and find related episodes on demand and on platforms such as Netflix.
These will be placed into one convenient folder, so they can be watched at the viewer's convenience.
Other updates include Smart search, with the user needing to input only the first letter of a show's title and the box bringing up the rest of the name itself.
Virgin Media is also aiming to make TiVo less text-heavy, with on-demand programmes appearing as image-based tiles and channel names being replaced by channel logos.
Meanwhile, viewers will be able to bookmark any programme, regardless of whether it is being shown on normal TV, Netflix or on demand.
Finally, the Continue watching function will now apply to on-demand TV, allowing customers to continue where they left off on their favourite programmes.
David Bouchier, Chief Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, said the updates will give the box "more intuitive intelligence", but still retain the features that customers already like.
"Series Link+ takes the convenience of finding and saving series to the next level by breaking down the divisions between traditional TV and on-demand programming," he commented.
"This is yet another example of the work we’re doing upgrading Virgin TV, so keep your eyes peeled for more later this year."
