Broadband provider TalkTalk has delivered a number of remote YouView updates designed to improve the viewer experience.
Laurence Miall, Director of TV at TalkTalk, confirmed that upgrades had been carried out on January 16th, meaning service users can now pause, rewind and fast-forward live channels in the TalkTalk Player.
She explained that viewers who take one of TalkTalk's TV boosts will automatically gain access to this feature.
"We are continuing to work on more great features including recording functionality in the TalkTalk Player and other services so watch this space for updates," she noted.
Ms Miall said that alongside its "great value boosts", TalkTalk Player also offers "a huge library" of on-demand content available for free.
"With box sets and channels like Warner TV, ABC On Demand and Sony Entertainment, you can enjoy the best series from both sides of the Atlantic," she added.
"Full series of shows such as Footballers Wives, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory and even Peppa Pig are available now at no extra cost on top of all the great content available from BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4OD and Demand 5."
Ms Miall also explained that YouView has released its own mobile app, which features full seven-day listings and allows viewers to set remote recordings from the programme guide.
TalkTalk customers can programme the app for use with the TalkTalk YouView box by following simple set up instructions, she noted.
The app is available to download now from the iTunes store for free, Ms Miall explained.
Households signing up for TalkTalk Plus TV receive a YouView set-top box - which retails at £299 - for free.
