TalkTalk has made its Home Move Service available for free, helping consumers to keep the costs down when changing address.
The service originally launched back in 2009, enabling people to get online in their new home as soon as possible after moving.
Customers were originally charged for using this migration service, but they now face no fee if they choose to self-install broadband at their new property.
Using the TalkTalk website, customers can simply select the date they want their service to end at their current property and when they wish to activate it at their new home.
They then have the option of self-installation or booking a home move engineer to set them up.
Customers can choose to retain their existing package, or upgrade to a higher-tier broadband deal.
During the home move process, TalkTalk checks whether the existing router is fit for purpose - if it is not, the broadband provider sends a new one out free of charge.
